Goessel

?Pretty Prairie beat the Bluebirds 26-16 in a district game Thursday in Goessel.

Cameron Stultz broke a 39-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and finished with 100 rushing yards on 22 carries and added a 9-yard receiving touchdown late in the contest.

After forging an 8-8 tie through one quarter, Goessel trailed 20-8 at halftime. Pretty Prairie made it an 18-point game before Stultz scored.

Jonathan Berkholz rushed for 47 yards and Neal Brubaker completed seven passes for 43 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Pretty Prairie (9-0) won the district title. Goessel (7-2) played at Burden Tuesday. With a win, Goessel would play the winner of Baileyville (9-0) and Madison (8-1) on Saturday.

Centre

?Tanner Brunner rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two, totaling 189 rushing yards and 63 passing. More importantly, Centre defeated St. Paul 46-16 and finished 4-0 in district play.

Rustyn Kerbs rushed for 85 yards and the opening touchdown, and also caught a touchdown pass at the end of the first quarter. Alex Hajek caught Brunner?s second touchdown throw?a 25-yarder with no time remaining at the end of the first half.

Brunner capped the scoring with a 34-yard sprint with 6:11 left in the fourth quarter. Defensively, he posted 21 tackles and two sacks.

Centre (7-1) hosted South Haven (6-3) Tuesday. With a win, the Cougars would meet the winner of Hanover (8-1) and Wilson (4-5).

Canton-Galva

?The Eagles crushed Sylvan Grove in their season finale Thursday night.
