The sixth-seeded Hillsboro girls (19-4) will open play at the Class 3A tournament in Hutchinson at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday against No. 3, Osage City (21-2). If the Trojans win, they would play a familiar foe, either No. 2 Riley County (21-2) or No. 7 Wichita Collegiate (17-6) at 6:30 p.m. Friday. On the other side of the bracket, another familiar face, No. 5 Thomas More Prep (19-4), will square off at 4:45 p.m. against No. 4 Central Heights (19-4). At the Trojan Classic in January, TMP defeated HHS in the semifinals, 49-45 in overtime, and then defeated Riley County for the title, 51-29.
