Centre volleyball 0-3 after home quadrangular

The Centre High School volleyball team is 0-3 after its first night of varsity games.

The Cougars lost to cross-county rival Canton-Galva (25-14, 14-25, 13-25) despite winning the first game by a significant margin.

Allison Shields had four kills and block in the match, and totaled six kills and two blocks for the night.

For the team, it was the same outcome in a 3-game loss against Wichita Home School (25-20, 14-25, 16-25). Inman beat Centre 25-4, 25-9 in the last game of the night.

The Cougars played Tuesday at Solomon and host their home tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday.
