Centre lifts way to 2nd in state powerlifting

Centre High School boys placed second at the state powerlifting competition at Quivera Heights.

In the 114-pound division, Mikael Antoszyk took first in the power clean, squat and bench. He set a state record of 205 pounds in the power clean.

At 132, Adam Matz took fifth in cleans. Justin Deines was third in power clean and fourth in both bench and squat.

Zach Antoszyk took first in bench and first in power clean and set a new state power clean record with a lift of 255 pounds.

In the 140 division, Houston Svoboda took third in squat.

In the 148 division, Cole Svoboda was first in power clean and third in bench. Shane Methvin took first in squat and fourth in bench

At 156, Rustyn Kerbs finished second in power clean. In the 173 division, Haus took third in bench. At 165 division, Casey Kristek took third in squat and third in clean.

In the heavyweight division, Trevor Troutt was second in power clean and Stephan Kaiser sixth in bench.
