With a team score of 346, the Centre High School golf team placed third out of 12 teams at the Northern Heights Invitational Golf Tournament April 14. Centre finished 22 strokes behind champion Jeff West (324) and 11 behind runner-up Silver Lake (335).
The Cougars placed two golfers in the top 10 individually: Adam Matz (78) tied with three others for first place, and Jacob Jennings (83) finished in a 4-way tie for eighth. Heath Hill (90) and Tyler Klenda (95) rounded out the top four, with Kacey Hanschu (105) and Josh Olsen (110) completing the top six.
Centre played Tuesday at El Dorado. The Cougars? next event is the Saint Mary?s Invitational April 28. CHS closes the month at Council Grove April 30.
