Centre blows out Peabody-Burns, 50-14

Centre took care of business in their season opener against Peabody-Burns, 50-14, behind 154 rushing yards by Jensen Riffel.

Centre held a 36-6 lead at half and contiuned their dominance in the second half with 14 more points.

Centre had 328 yards of total offense, 237 of which came on the ground.

Peabody managed 162 yards of offense, led by Jess Philpott with 87 yards and a touchdown. Jack Parks caught three balls for 51 yards for Peabody as well.

With their win, Centre will travel to Herington for their week two match-up, while Peabody will host Little River at home. Both games are 7 p.m. kickoffs.
