Canton-Galva scores 26 runs in win

The Canton-Galva baseball team won its first game of the season and the first for Mike Brouillete as coach, beating Bennington, 25-6, in the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday in Canton.

The Eagles lost the first game, 6-2.

Codey Johnson led Canton-Galva, going 5-for-5 with six runs batted in.

Taylor Meyers (1-1) got the pitching victory, striking out 11 and walking two.

Nick Vogts had two singles two doubles and three RBIs.

All 10 Eagle hitters had at least a hit, a run and an RBI.

Canton-Galva (1-5) was scheduled to play at Sedgwick Tuesday and host Lyons Friday.
