Canton-Galva baseball starts season 0-4

Canton-Galva baseball started its season 0-4, dropping doubleheaders against Halstead March 29 and Ell-Saline Saturday.

The Eagles lost the first game at Halstead, 14-2.

Halstead?s Collin Rupp was the winning pitcher. Matt Stovall had a home run

Taylor Koehn got the loss. Nathan Bray had two singles.

Canton-Galva lost the second game 7-4.

Halstead?s Travis Calvin got the win. Rupp had three singles.

Codey Johnson was the losing pitcher. Kohen had two singles and an RBI. Brett Williams had two singles. Nick Vogts had a single and scored two runs.

Against Ell-Saline, the Eagles fell in the first game 6-4. Koehn had two singles and an RBI. Johnson had two singles.

In the second game, Canton-Galva fell 7-5. Vogts had two hits and an RBI. Byrant Baldwin a hit, two stolen bases and an RBI.

Nathan Bray and Williams had a hit and RBI?each.

Canton-Galva will be in action again Wednesday against Bennington.
