The combined Marion/Peabody-Burns golf team competed at the Heart of America league meet at Hesston Monday.
Max Caldwell was Marion’s top finisher, carding an 18-hole score of 114, good for 20th overall among a field of 29 golfers. Ryan Cochran shot a 120 (23rd), Pablo Verdugo 123 (24th) and Devin Soyez 128 (26th).
Sterling’s Zach Schissler won the meet with a 76.
Coming—Marion was scheduled to host a Class 3A regional meet Monday with the following schools participating in addition to the Warriors: Minneapolis, St. Marys, Rossville, Silver Lake, Southeast of Saline, Council Grove, Osage City and West Franklin.
