Banman, Unruh to represent Goessel at 8-man stars game

Goessel High School will be represented by two players and its head coach at the 24th Annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star football game to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Beloit.

Having guided his team to the regional finals with a 10-1 record in 2008, Justin Coup will be an assistant coach for Division I East. He has posted a 43-19 record in six years at Goessel.

Craig Banman and Austin Unruh will join their coach in Beloit. Banman is a 2-time first team all-state selection and scored 33 touchdowns in 2008.

Unruh completed 148 of 281 passes for 2438 yards and 45 touchdowns against eight interceptions. He rushed 153 times for 102 yards and 21 scores.
