The Goessel volleyball team won the Wheat State League title with wins over Wakefield and Hope Tuesday at Wakefield.

Ending league play with a record of 8-0, Goessel swept Wakfield, 25-15, 25-14, and Hope, 25-10, 25-13, to clinch the title.

The Bluebirds finished 95 percent for serves with 26 aces. Jennifer Van Horn had 10 kills and Aimee Flaming 19 assists. Paige Booton had six digs.

Goessel hosted a triangular with Solomon and Little River Tuesday.

Canton-Galva?The Eagles hosted the Canton-Galva Invita?tional on Saturday.

CGHS?finished the day 1-2, beating Wichita Sunrise, 21-25, 31-29, 25-16, and falling to Hillsboro 25-13, 25-14, and Little River 21-25, 25-15, 25-17.

CGHS?s Allison Bressie was named to the all-tournament team.

CGHS?was at Ell-Saline Tuesday.

Centre? The Cougars hosted a triangular Tuesday with Little River and White City. Centre beat White City 25-23, 25-19 and lost to Little River 25-20, 19-25, 21-25.

Allison Shields finished the night with 15 blocks. Amanda Floyd served up six aces.
