?The Bluebirds finished league play 9-2 with wins over Sedgwick (20-25, 26-24, 25-19) and Little River (25-16, 25-15). Karis Janzen led the team with 17 kills, Karina Harvey led in digs with 25 and Jessica Goertzen earned 36 assists.
Nine wins placed Goessel (23-6 overall) third in the twelve team League. The Bluebirds played at Remington with Peabody after press time Tuesday. Goessel will be at Inman for the HOA league championship tournament Saturday.
Centre
?The Cougars (14-3 overall) went 4-1 at Solomon Saturday, defeating White City (25-21, 25-19), St. Xavier (25-19, 25-13) and Elyria (25-12, 25-20).
Centre lost to Wakefield (18-25, 22-25) in an early match, but bounced back to win the second meeting 25-21, 25-20.
Leann Pankratz had 18 kills against Wakefield and averaged 4.3 kills per game for the day.
