Peabody-Burns

The Warriors were bounced out of the post-season in the first round of sub-state play, losing to Ben?ning?ton (15-25, 25-21, 23-25) in three games.

Canton-Galva?The Eagles were knocked out of substate play in the first round by Minnea?polis (25-12, 25-11) on Saturday.

 

Centre

The Cougars forced a third game, but White City still knocked Centre out of the first round of the regional tournament held Oct. 16 at Goessel.

The Cougars got 9 kills from Leann Pankratz and 7 from Kylie Burhoop, along with 5 aces from Carlye Simons on the day.

Centre finished 13-15 on the season.

Goessel

The Goessel volleyball team advanced through regional play, but ended their season on Saturday afternoon with a first-round loss to Southern Coffey County (22-25, 22-25). The loss brought the Bluebirds final season record to 18-20.

Goessel warded off Burrton (25-20, 21-25, 25-12) in the first match of the regional it hosted Tuesday, then edged Hope (25-17, 25-23) to advance to the final.

Both teams were assured of advancing to sub-state competition, but Central Christian swept through the match 25-16, 25-12 to take the top spot.
