Goessel volleyball finished the week 4-3, competing at White City Tuesday and the Tescott Tournament Saturday.

The Bluebirds swept White City, 25-19, 25-12, and won in three sets against Peabody-Burns, 16-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Saturday, Goessel finished 2-3 at Tescott, placing fourth. Goessel beat Tescott, 25-12, 25-10, and Osborne, 25-16, 25-15. GHS fell to Sylvan Lucas, 25-11, 22-25, 22-25, and Ell-Saline, 25-22, 19-25, 18-25.

Makaila Schmidt served 21 aces for the day. Kendra Flaming and Paige Booton led defensively with 22 digs. Jennifer Van Horn and Alex Hiebert had 15 blocks. Van Horn also led in kills with 32. Aimee Flaming finished with 58 set assists.

Goessel (11-5) travels to Solomon Tuesday and Olpe Thursday.

Marion Spikefest?Canton-Galva and Centre participated Saturday in the Marion Spikefest. Neither team came away with a victory.

Playing in Pool A, Centre lost to Sedgwick, 13-25, 20-25, Marion, 13-25, 20-25, and Halstead, 11-25, 9-25.

In Pool B, Canton-Galva lost to Wichita Collegiate, 8-25, 10-25, Eureka, 13-25, 18-25, and Lyons, 12-25, 14-25.

Tuesday, Centre traveled to Hope and Canton-Galva to Berean. CGHS?lost to Ell-Saline, 20-25, 15-25.
