Canton-Galva ?The Eagles (4-15) finished eighth at their home invitational Saturday, after suffering back-to-back losses to Berean Academy and Sedgwick Sept. 25.

In tournament pool play, the Eagles lost to Hillsboro (18-25, 8-25), Halstead (16-25, 17-25) and Sunrise (21-25, 9-25) then lost to Central Christian in the seventh-place game.

CGHS was scheduled to play at Moundridge Tuesday, before taking on Ell-Saline Oct. 9.

Centre?The Cougars (12-10) picked up back-to-back wins Tuesday against White City (2-0) and Little River (2-1).

Centre was scheduled to compete at Peabody-Burns Tuesday.

Goessel ?The Bluebirds (18-8) went 2-3 at the Canton-Galva Invitational to take fourth place.

In pool play, they defeated Central Christian (25-19, 25-10) and Little River (25-17, 25-20) before losing to Hesston (25-23, 25-15).

In the semifinals, Goessel lost to Hills?boro (25-18, 25-8) before losing to Halstead (31-29, 24-16) in the third-place match.

GHS was scheduled to play a non-league triangular Tuesday at Little River with Solomon and the home team.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors competed at Elyria Christian Tuesday, but results were not available. PBHS was scheduled to compete with Centre and Elyria Christian Tuesday.
