Canton-Galva?The Eagles competed at the Centre CKTL Quint April 3 at Marion.

The boys? 4×800 team of Austin Bullinger, Eli Janzen, Trevor Unruh and Justin Hiller, took second in 9 minutes, 42 seconds. Bullinger placed third in the triple jump at 37 feet, 1/2 inch.

The girls team did not have an athletes in the top three.

CGHS was scheduled to compete at Moundridge April 10.

Centre?The Cougars hosted a CKTL Quint at Marion April 3.

Theo Kassebaum won the 100-meter high hurdles in 16.4 seconds and claimed second in the 300 hurdles in 56.4.

Shelby Makovec won the 3,200 in 13:10 and was third in the 1,600 in 6:11. Also placing third were Anna Weber in the long jump (15-3) and triple jump (30-9) and Cacey Simons in the high jump (4-8).

For the boys, Houston Svoboda placed second in the 200 in 25.8 seconds.

The Cougars also competed at the Marion Invitational Thurs?day, but no once placed in the top three.

CHS was scheduled to compete at Moundridge April 10.

Goessel?The Bluebird boys placed 11th and the girls 10th at the Bennington Invitational Thursday.

For the boys, Nathan Czarnowsky earned a third-place medal in the long jump, with a leap of 16 feet, 5 inches.

Ali Buller took third in the 800 for the girls in 2:38.

GHS competed at Bluestem April 3, with the boys placing fourth and the girls fifth.

Alex Schmidt won the discus with a throw of 99 feet, nine inches. Placing third were Heath Goertzen in the 3,200 (11:33) and the 4×800 team of Dane Kruger, Aaron Woelk, Daniele Kristoffer?son and Robi Kosa (11:27).

For the girls, Ali Buller took second in the 800 (2:43) and Brittny Czarnowsky second in the 3,200 (13:43).

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors competed at the Marion Invitational Thursday, with both teams placing ninth.

?Many of the guys were able to improve from their performances from Tuesday, which will give momentum as we continue to train,? coach Brian Lightner said.

For the girls, Wiebke Wiese took second in the high jump at 4-10, tying the school?s record.

For the boys, Lucas Larsen took third in the shot put with a throw of 41-5.

The Warriors had two first-place finishes at the Inman CKTL meet April 3. The girls? 4×800 team of Christa Elliot, Kelsie Noble, Carlee Wentworth and Paige Lewis, took first in 12:53.8. Wiese won the high jump by clearing 4-10.

Placing second was the 4×400 team of Elliot, Noble, Wentworth and Lewis placed second (1:02.7), the 4×100 team of Noble, Wentworth, Lewis and Wiese (5:19). and Lewis in the 300 hurdles (58.7).

PBHS was to compete at the Goessel Quint April 10.
