HERINGTON- Emersyn Funk of Hillsboro placed the highest of the area runners competing at the Herington Cross Country meet last week. Funk placed fifth among all the varsity girls at the meet with a time of 19:34.7.
Leah Silsby, Canton-Galva, finished 10th with a time of 22:00 flat. Millie Sechrist, Hillsboro, finished 15th with a time of 24:54.
For the boys, Morgan Becker of Canton-Galva placed highest with a seventh place finish with a time of 18:39.6. Hillsboro’s Caleb Diener was close behind with an eighth place finish and a time of 18:48.4.
Hillsboro gets back into action when they travel to the Southeast of Saline meet on September 18. Canton-Galva will run next at Marion on September 18.
