Canton-Galva?The Eagles opened Class 2A sub-state play by sweeping Inman.

The third-seeded girls defeated No. 6 Inman Monday, 35-30. Kelli Nightingale led all scorers with 13 points. Cassidy Enns scored 12.

The fifth-seeded boys defeated No. 4 Inman Tuesday, 53-47.

After the sweep of Inman, Canton-Galva lost two games to Berean Academy in the semifinals.

The girls lost to second-seeded Berean, 46-32. Enns led the Eagles with 14 points. Canton-Galva concludes the season with an overall record of 12-10.

The boys, meanwhile, lost to first-seeded Berean, 50-33. The Eagles conclude the season with an overall record of 11-11.

Centre?The Cougars wrapped up their season with a pair of sub-state losses to Clifton-Clyde last week.

The fifth-seeded girls lost to No. 4 Clifton-Clyde, 34-29, in a Class 1A, Division I sub-state quarterfinal game Tuesday. Centre concludes the season with an overall record of 5-15.

The fourth-seeded boys lost to No. 5 Clifton-Clyde Tuesday, 52-42. The Cougars conclude the season at 6-14.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors closed the 2015-16 season with a pair of sub-state quarterfinal losses last week.

The fifth-seeded girls lost to No. 4 Melvern-Marais Des Cygnes Valley, 57-46, Tuesday. The Warriors conclude the season with an overall record of 2-19.

The fifth-seeded boys lost to No. 4 Waverly, 73-38, Tuesday. The Warriors conclude the season with an overall record of 0-21.
