Canton-Galva?The Eagle girls hosted Hutchinson Trinity Tuesday and came up on the short end of 50-34 decision. The Eagles trailed 26-18 at halftime. Erika Smith led Canton-Galva with 10 points. The Eagle boys lost to Trinity, 53-22.

Canton-Galva traveled to Sedgwick Friday, where the girls lost, 41-30, and the boys lost, 37-17.

Canton-Galva was scheduled to play at Inman Tues?day and will host Ell-Saline Friday.

Centre?The Cougars hosted Peabody-Burns Tuesday night. The Centre girls defeated the Warriors, 51-18. Centre led, 29-8, at halftime. Cacey Simons led the Cougar attack with a game-high 12 points. Shelby Makovec added 11.

The Centre boys defeated Peabody-Burns, 67-47. The Cougars built a 42-19 lead by halftime. Ty Simons led Centre with a game-high 39 points.

Centre faced Rural Vista Friday. The Cougar girls won, 46-24. Shelby Makovec led all scorers with 19 points.

The boys lost to Rural Vista, 66-37. Rural Vista led 44-13 at halftime. Although Centre outscored Rural Vista 17-12 in the third quarter, the Cougars could not make up the difference.

The Cougars were scheduled to play at Little River Tuesday and will host the Cougar Classic next week.

Goessel?Goessel played at Solomon Friday.

The Bluebird girls fell, 48-37. Goessel led 25-16 at halftime after a big second quarter, but Solomon outscored the Bluebirds 32-12 in the final two quarters.

Goessel shot 23 percent from the field (11-48). Aleena Cook led the Bluebirds with 11 points. Alicen Meysing grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Goessel boys dropped a 57-40 loss to Solomon. The Bluebirds shot 38 percent from the field (15-40) compared to 53 percent for Solomon (20-38). Ben Wiens led Goessel with 12 points.

Goessel was scheduled to host Argonia Tuesday and will host Elyria Christian Friday.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors traveled to Centre Tuesday. The girls dropped a 51-18 decision to the Cougars. Katy Benson led PBHS with 10 points.

The Warrior boys followed with a 67-47 loss to Centre. Xavier Jabary led the Warriors with 16 points. Garret Schroeder added 15.

The Warrior girls defeated Flinthills, 40-32, at home Friday. Brianna Larsen led Peabody-Burns with 11 points. Riley McDowell added 10.

The Warrior boys completed the sweep with a 41-33 victory. Braxton Kyle led all scorers with 17 points.

Peabody-Burns was scheduled to host Rural Vista Tuesday and will travel to Wakefield Friday.
