Canton-Galva?The Eagles hosted Bennington Tuesday.

The girls lost, 48-43. Cassidy Enns led all scorers with 28 points.

The boys lost, 60-52.

The Eagles played at Goessel Friday.

The girls won, 40-19. Enns scored 16 points. Erika Smith added 13.

The boys defeated Goessel, 50-44. Nick Bray scored 22 points. Tanner Klingensmith added 11.

The Eagles were scheduled to host Little Riber Tuesday before participating in the Class 2A substate hosted by Berean Academy next week. In addition to the host school and the Eagles, the field includes Hillsboro, Inman, Little River, Moundridge, Peabody-Burns, Sterling and Remington.

Centre?The Cougars hosted St. Xavier Tuesday. The girls won, 62-29. Shelby Makovec led all scorers with 20 points. Makenzie Deines added 15.

The boys won, 87-45. Ty Simons scored 23 points, Jared Barney 16 and Kyle Methvin 13.

The Cougars traveled to Chase County Friday. The girls lost, 59-50. Makovec scored 18 points. Cacey Simons added 15.

The boys fell, 70-60.

The Cougars were scheduled to play at Bennington Monday in a rescheduled game and at Peabody-Burns Tuesday before hosting Solomon Thursday in a rescheduled game.

Centre will participate in the Class 1A-Division I substate tournament hosted at Hartford next week. In addition to the host school and the Cougars, the field includes Goessel, Lebo and Rosalia-Flint Hills.

Goessel?The Bluebirds traveled to Udall Tuesday. The girls won, 42-31. Aleena Cook led with 15 points. Page Hiebert grabbed 11 rebounds.

The boys lost, 49-46. Ben Wiens led with 17 points.

The boys lost, 50-44. Ben Wiens scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Goessel was scheduled to play at Berean Academy Tuesday.

The boys lost, 62-56. Braxton Kyle led the team in scoring with 20 points. Garret Schroeder scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Xavier Jabary added 15 points.

The Warriors hosted Moundridge Friday. The girls lost, 48-17. Katy Benson led the Warriors with eight points. The boys lost, 57-30. Garret Schroeder led with eight points.

Peabody-Burns was scheduled to host Centre Tuesday. The Warriors will participate in the Class 2A substate hosted by Berean Academy next week. In addition to the host school and the Warriors, the field includes Canton-Galva, Hillsboro, Inman, Little River, Moundridge, Sterling and Remington.
