Canton-Galva—The Eagles concluded the regular season with two losses to Little River Tuesday. The girls lost, 42-39. The boys lost, 55-38.
The Eagles will host a Class 2A sub-state tournament this week.
Centre—The Cougars swept Peabody-Burns Tuesday.
The girls won, 46-28. Kate Basore led the team with 11 points. Shelby Pankratz scored 10.
The boys won, 65-52. Xavier Espinoza led the team with 15 points. Cole Methvin scored 14, Dylan Deines 13, and Cole Srajer 10.
Centre hosted Blue Valley-Randolph Friday.
The girls won, 45-42. Kelsey Hett led all scorers with 20 points. Summer Espinoza scored 10.
The boys’ score was unavailable at press time.
The Cougars will compete in the Class 1A, Division I tournament hosted by Goessel this week.
Goessel—The Bluebirds concluded the regular season with a sweep of Udall Tuesday.
The girls won, 50-37. Brittney Hiebert led all scorers with 24 points. She had 13 rebounds. Eden Hiebert had 11 rebounds to add to her eight points.
The boys won, 58-39.
Jordan Griffin led all scorers with 17 points. Josh Schmidt scored 12, and Miguel Guerrero 10.
The Bluebirds will host a Class 1A, Division I sub-state tournament this week.
Peabody-Burns—The Warriors lost two to Centre Tuesday.
The girls lost, 46-28. Anna Lubbers led the team with 11 points.
The boys lost, 65-52. Jayton Scott led all scorers with 19 points. Austin Reynolds scored 14.
The Warriors will compete in the Class 1A, Division I sub-state tournament hosted by Goessel this week.
Sub-state seedings
Goessel will host a Class 1A, Division I sub-state, where the Centre boys have received the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye with a 14-5 record.
The Cougars will face the winner of Tuesday’s game between No. 4 Little River (11-9) and No. 5 Goessel (7-13) Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The other half of the bracket features No. 2 Rural Vista (14-5) with a first-round bye, and No. 3 Burrton (13-5) versus No. 6 Peabody-Burns (2-17) Tuesday.
The semifinals will be played Friday, and the finals, Saturday at 7:30 p.m
Meanwhile, the Goessel girls have received the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye with a 17-3 record. The Bluebirds will play the winner of No. 4 Little River (7-13) and No. 5 Burrton (4-14) Thursday at 7:30 p.m
On the other half of the bracket, No. 2 Rural Vista (14-5) has a first-round bye, and No. 3 Centre (10-9) was to face No. 6 Peabody-Burns (1-18) Monday.
The semifinals will be placed Thursday, and the finals, Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Eagle boys are the No. 7 seed with a 4-16 record and were scheduled to play at No. 2 Lyndon (14-6) Monday. With a win, the Eagles would play the winner of No. 3 Inman (14-6) and No. 6 Northern Heights (5-14) Thursday.
