Canton-Galva—The Eagles hosted a Class 2A sub-state tournament last week.

The fourth-seeded girls earned a quarterfinal victory over No. 5 Northern Heights Tuesday, 61-54.

Canton-Galva then lost to top-seeded Moundridge in the semifinals Friday, 52-48. The Eagles conclude the season with an overall record of 10-12.

The seventh-seeded boys suffered a quarterfinal loss to No. 2 Lyndon Monday, 60-34. The Eagles recorded a 4-17 record this season.

Centre—The Cougars competed at the Class 1A, Division I sub-state hosted by Goessel last week.

The third-seeded girls went 1-1. Centre defeated No. 6 Peabody-Burns in the quarterfinals Monday, 37-24. Kate Basore led all scorers with 12 points.

Centre suffered a narrow loss to No. 2 Rural Vista Thursday in the semifinals, 39-38. The Cougars trailed, 23-16, at halftime, but outscored the Heat, 14-10, in the third quarter to close the gap to 33-30 heading into the final quarter. After an 8-6 fourth-quarter effort, Centre came up just short.

Kelsey Hett and Kate Basore shared top scoring honors for the team with 11 points each.

Centre concludes the season with an overall record of 11-10.

The top-seeded boys earned a first-round bye, then lost to No. 4 Little River Friday in the semifinals, 61-44. Cole Srajer led the team’s scoring effort with 15 points. Dylan Deines scored 10. The Cougars ended the season with a 15-6 record.

Goessel—The Bluebirds hosted a Class 1A, Division I sub-state tournament last week.

The top-seeded girls received a first-round bye, then defeated No. 4 Little River Thursday in the semifinals, 58-38. Eden Hiebert led all scorers with 20 points. Brittney Hiebert scored 11.

The fifth-seeded boys lost to No. 4 Little River in the quarterfinals Tuesday, 58-45.

Jordan Griffin scored a team-high 18 points. Dylan Lindeman scored 12. Goessel recorded a 7-14 record this season.

Peabody-Burns—The Warriors competed at the Class 1A, Division I sub-state hosted by Goessel last week.

The sixth-seeded girls suffered a 37-24 loss to No. 3 Centre in the quarterfinals Monday. Mallory Harris led the team with 10 points.

Peabody-Burns concludes the season with an overall record of 1-19.

The sixth-seeded boys lost to No. 3 Burrton in the quarterfinals Tuesday, 46-32. Austin Reynolds led the Warriors in scoring with 16 points. Peabody-Burns concludes the season with an overall record of 2-18.
