Canton-Galva?The Eagles (1-3) lost to Elyria Christian in the first round of the Bluebird Classic in Goessel this week, 28-24, and to Little River in the second round, 49-32.

CGHS defeated Central Christian, 50-45, in the finals to take fifth place.

Canton-Galva was scheduled to host Ell-Saline Tuesday and Marion Friday, with games starting at 6 p.m.

Centre?The Cougars (3-1) defeated Hope in the finals of the Herington Preseason Tournament Saturday, 48-41. Cacey Simons led in scoring with 14 points, followed by Makenzie Deines with 12 points.

The win comes after CHS beat the host team in the first round, 66-41. Simons scored 23 points;y Shelby Mako?vec added 18. Centre lost in the second round of pool play to Northern Heights, 54-50. Simons scored 15 points and Makovec 13.

CHS was to host Elyria Christian Tuesday before playing at home versus Benning?ton Friday. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.

Goessel?The Bluebirds hosted the Bluebird Classic this week, taking second behind Little River.

GHS defeated Central Christian, 34-8, Tuesday and Burrton, 53-22, Friday to conclude pool play. Goessel lost to Little River, 42-24.

Alec Hiebert scored seven points against the Redskins; Johanna Hoffman added six.

GHS is to play Friday at Wakefield, with tipoff at 6 p.m, before hosting Hope Dec. 18.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors (2-2) defeated Marion (1-3) in the first round of the Marion Classic Tuesday, 31-25. Brandee Burnett led PBHS with 12 points, with Rayna Barnes chipping in eight points.

The Warriors lost to Reming?ton in the second round, 40-23. No players made double digits.

PBHS defeated Eureka, 49-42. Paige Lewis set the pace with 18 points, followed by Brianna Larsen with 13 and Barnes with 10.

PBHS was scheduled to host host Burrton Tuesday, then will host Berean Friday.
