Goessel?After another 48-0 blowout?this time against St John?s Military?Bluebirds coach Justin Coup said: ?Our guys are having a great season, we are a good football team.

?Next week will be an important game with Canton-Galva,? he added.

With less than four minutes played, the Bluebirds had taken advantage of two turnovers by St. John?s and scored three times, two touchdowns to Kendall Voth from Austin Unruh and the three yard run by Craig Banman.

Nathan Walker, senior nose guard, stripped the ball from from a Muleskinner runner and went eleven yards for another first quarter score.

Backup quarterback Tyler Schmidt scored two more times and freshman running back Braden Unruh scored on a 10-yard touchdown run.

Goessel is now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the eight-man district. This Friday, Canton-Galva visits Goessel, and Goessel will travel to Pretty Prairie for the final district game of the season Oct. 30.

Canton-Galva?The Eagles hammered Little River 62-20 at home Friday. CGHS got out of the gate in a hurry thanks to Bryant Baldwin, who scored a pair of first quarter touchdowns.

With a 66-yard pass play, Little River cut it, briefly, to 16-8. But the Eagles struck back before halftime with a touchdowns catch by Shearer, 10 yards from Williams.

CGHS outscored Little River 32-6 in the third quarter, and played Little River to a standstill in the fourth.

Baldwin rolled up 160 rushing yards for Canton-Galva. Canton-Galva visits Goessel this Friday.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors defeated Chase County 13-7. PBHS hosts its senior night versus Moundridge Friday. It is the team?s final regular season game.
