Goessel

?Behind three Travis Fensky touchdowns, the Bluebirds shut out Little River 48-0 to become the only remaining undefeated team in Eight Man District 4.

The Bluebirds led 28-0 at the end of the first quarter, 42-0 at half-time and scored on a punt return in the third period to end the game early in the quarter using the eight-man 45 point rule.

The Goessel defense prevented Little River?s running game from gaining much on the ground and limited the Redskins passing attack.

Fenske scored twice running and once receiving, and Craig Banman scored three touchdowns: one running, one receiving and one punt return. Banman also kicked four extra points.

Austin Unruh scored one touchdown and threw for two more as the offense clicked and the Bluebird defense held Little River scoreless.

Claflin defeated previously undefeated Pretty Prairie Friday.

Up next, the Bluebirds will host a non-district game with St John?s Military on Friday and then finish district play: at home with Canton-Galva and then away at Pretty Prairie. The Bluebirds are 6-0 overall, and 4-0 in the District.
