Canton-Galva vs. Goessel?The Bluebirds from Goessel flew past the Eagles from Canton-Galva Friday, 28-8.

Even with the win, Goessel, now 1-4 in district play and 1-7 overall, will close the 2011 season Thursday when it hosts Peabody-Burns.

Canton-Galva, 1-5 in the district and 2-6 overall, will cap its season by hosting Clifton-Clyde in a non-district matchup.

Peabody-Burns?Little River, 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the district, handled the Warriors on their home field Friday, 54-26.

PBHS, now 3-5 overall and 1-4 in district play, will end its season with a district matchup at Goessel.

Centre?The Cougars pounded Altoona-Midway, 71-21, Friday night in a non-district contest.

The win boosts Centre?s record to 3-5. At 2-1 in the district, the Cougars can clinch the runner-up spot and move on to the state playoffs if they can defeat Hartford, which has a district record of 1-2, and if Flint?hills (2-1 in the district) loses.
