The Cougars racked up 409 yards in 55 plays while holding the Redskins to 166 yards in 44 plays.

Tanner Brunner led the Cougars in passing and rushing, finishing 6-for-13 for 112 yards and running the ball 20 times for 162 yards while scoring four touchdows.

Rustyn Kerbs completed four passes for 84 yards and ran the ball five times for 64 yards with two touchdowns.

Brunnner led the Cougars in tackles with 20. Casey Kristek recorded 17 tackles.

Centre (2-0, 2-0) travels to Hope Friday for a matchup that could decide the Wheat State League title. The cougars fell to Hope last season, 30-24, in four overtimes.

Goessel? Hope is coming off a 48-0 blanking of Goessel.

The Lions shut out the Bluebirds, holding quarterback Neal Brubaker to 86 yards passing and minus-10 yards rushing.

Goessel struggled on the ground with John Berkholz gaining 39 yards on eight carries.

The Bluebirds (0-2, 0-2) host Lincoln (1-1, 1-1 Twin Lakes League) Friday.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors picked up their first win in over two seasons, defeating Wakefield, 45-14.

Peabody-Burns (1-1, 1-1) travel to Canton-Galva (1-1) Friday for the Eagles? homecoming. Canton-Galva is coming off its first loss of 2010. The Eagles fell to Sunrise Christian Academy, 50-28, at home Friday night.
