Canton-Galva ?The Eagles (3-5) dropped a non-league game to Little River (6-2) Friday in a 52-0 shutout, after the Redskins powered out with a 24-point first quarter. CGHS travels to Lincoln (3-5) Thursday for a non-league contest.

Centre?The Cougars (5-3) picked up a second straight win over Flinthills Friday in a non-league game, 44-40. CHS is scheduled to play Madison/Hamilton (6-2) in a non-league match-up Thursday.

Goessel?The Bluebirds (5-3) downed White City (2-6) on the road Friday, 44-28.

Senior quarterback Trey Schmidt had 12 completions and 291 yards for four passing touchdowns, as well as rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He led the defense with 12 total tackles. Zach Showalter, a junior wide receiver, led in the air with six receptions and 180 yards for three touchdowns. Senior Nic Buller was close behind, racking up 105 yards and a touchdown, as well as earning an interception on defense. GHS is scheduled to play Hope (5-3) in a Wheat State League contest Thursday.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors (6-2) took care of Madison/Hamilton (6-2) Friday in a non-league game, 20-0.

Senior quarterback Hunter Pickens put up 139 yards on 10 receptions, helped out by sophomore QB Braxton Kyle with eight completions for 97 yards. Kyle also had a touchdown reception on 38 receiving yards.

Leading the receivers was senior Seth Topham, who had nine receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown catch, followed by 59 yards through the air from senior Tommy Morris for a touchdown.

PBHS is slated to face non-league opponent Lebo (5-2) in Thursday?s match-up.
