Canton-Galva?The Eagles (3-3) dropped a district game to undefeated Solomon (6-0) Friday, 61-14, with all of the Gorillas? points coming in the first half.

Stats were not available for this game. CGHS is scheduled to travel to Pretty Prairie (5-1) for another tough district matchup Friday.

Centre?The Cougars (3-3) took a blowout non-league victory from Cedar Vale/Dexter Friday, 56-6. Stats were not available for this game.

CHS is scheduled to play Hartford (1-5) Friday in a district contest.

Goessel?The Bluebirds (4-2) picked up a non-league victory over St. John?s Military Friday, 66-40. The Bluebirds scored 22 points in both the second and third quarters and led 28-14 at the half.

Quarterback Trey Schmidt had 12 completions for 226 yards and five touchdowns, as well as rushing for 31 yards and a touchdown. Schmidt also anchored the defense with seven solo tackles and 11 assists for a total of 18 tackles.

Leading the Bluebirds in rushing was Shane Goerzen, who had two touchdowns on 31 yards rushing, as well as 58 yards and a touchdown through the air. He also had a defensive touchdown.

Zach Showalter led in receptions, nabbing five for 143 yards and four touchdowns.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors (5-1) routed visiting Hartford (1-5) in three quarters Friday, 56-8, in a district contest.

The Warriors outscored Hartford, 30-0 in the first quarter to cruise to victory.

Quarterback Braxton Kyle earned completed three passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns to lead PBHS, and ran for 64 yards.

Tommy Morris led the receivers with 62 yards on three catches for two touchdowns; Lucas Larsen added 13-yard touchdown reception. Morris also led PBHS in tackles with four solos and one assist.

Austin Savage rushed for three touchdowns and 48 yards and Brooks Hodges chipped in a five-yard rushing touchdown.

Leading the defensive effort was Xavier Jabary, who had five sacks, followed by Jayden Miller and Larsen, who had two sacks each.
