Softball – The Canton-Galva softball team gained a shut-out sweep of Hutchinson Trinity April 17 before splitting with Hoisington Thursday.
The Eagles were edged in Game 1 against Hoisington, 2-1, but rallied for a 4-1 victory in the second game.
Jennifer Likes led at the plate with two runs-batted-in against Hoisington, and Aly Bressie pitched both games, striking out a combined 11 batters.
In Game 1 at Hutch Trinity, the Eagles earned a 10-0 shut-out off a five-run third inning, then earned a 15-0 victory in the second game.
Brittany Leffler led the offense with five RBIs on the night, with Addi Marston adding three.
CGHS was scheduled to play at Sedgwick April 24 before traveling to Moundridge Friday.
Baseball – The Canton-Galva baseball team was swept by Little River April 17, losing Game 1, 13-2. They lost the second game in a 12-2 decision. They hosted Hillsboro Thursday (See story on 1B).
