Three members from both the Hillsboro and Marion high school baseball teams received all-league attention from the coaches of the Mid-Central Activities Associa?tion.
For the state-qualifying Trojans (17-6), Daniel Jost and Jacob Edwards were first-team selections while Jacob Fish received honorable mention.
Jost, selected at shortstop, led the Trojans in hitting with a .500 average, 36 hits, three home runs, nine doubles and 22 walks. The senior also led the team in slugging percentage (.805) and on-base percentage (.629)
Edwards was selected as an outfielder. He hit .375 and led the team with 21 RBI and six triples. The junior was second in slugging percentage (.625), on-base percentage (.521), hits (27) and doubles (6). As a pitcher, the left-hander posted a 4-2 record in seven starts with an earned-run average of 3.39.
Fish received honorable mention as a utility player. The senior, who played infield and outfield, batted .338 with 26 hits and 11 RBI.
For Marion (4-18), Brian Freuch?ting was one of two players selected as a first-team designated hitter. Adam Maag was a second-team pick in the outfield and Wil Case received honorable mention as a utility player.
