Tournament brings 200 JV Wrestlers

About 200 wrestlers from 17 schools competed in the sixth annual Hillsboro Junior Varsity Wrestling Tournament on Saturday.

The format was a mix of eight-man double elimination brackets along with some four-man and five-man round-robin brackets.

Most weights were divided into ?A? and ?B? brackets, with a few ?C? brackets, based on ability level.

Eleven wrestlers from Hills?boro competed: Bret Muller, 2-1 (second) in the 112B class; Darren Mueller, 2-1 (third) at 125A; Jonathan King, 2-1 (third) at 125B; Dimitri McClelland, 3-1 (third) at 130A; Justin King, 2-1 (second) at 135B; Casie Allen, 1-2 (did not place), at 135C; Dylan Delk, 3-1 (second) at 140B; Matt Wiebe, 3-1 (third) at 145B; Dakota Peterson, 1-2 (fourth) at 152A; Colby Meier, 2-0 (first) at 160B; Evan Just, 1-1 (third) at 171B.
