Connor VanCuren, 15, of Peabody claimed first in the Border Battle Motocross race series that started May 12 at the Oklahoma Sports Complex in Norman and ended Aug. 11 at Bar 2 Bar MC Park in Wichita. VanCuren, a sophomore this fall at Peabody-Burns High School, has been racing motocross and supercross competitively for four years with cousins Justin and Taven Scott. VanCuren is sponsored by One Industries, Risk Racing, Gaeme, 100%, Lealt, Kaotic Kousins Racing and Kindled Technologies.
