MHS FFA officers gather for retreat

Marion-Florence FFA officers traveled to Dillon, Colo., Aug. 2-7, for their way to the annual leadership retreat

Participating were Raleigh Kroupa, Bret Voth, Dylan Carpenter, Cade Harms, Elizabeth Meyer, Kaitlyn Goebel and Aidan Cairns.

While there, officers planned the program of activities for the coming school year, worked on leadership and teamwork skills, developed goals and a chapter vision statement, and practiced parliamentary procedure.

Time was set aside for recreation, which included swimming at the clubhouse, racquetball, mountain climbing, a trip to Copper Mountain and Brecken?ridge and seeing the mountains in the Summit County area. One highlight for the trip included a half-day raft trip down a stretch of the Arkansas River through Brown?s Canyon near Buena Vista.

Adviser Mark Meyer accompanied the group.
