Marion Jr. Wrestlers finish season

Marion Junior Wrestlers finished their season on a high note. Luke Lanning, Jarret McLinden, Tyler Palic, Cody Shipman, Brody Carroll, Kyle Palic and Evan Slater all placed at the sub-district competition in Junction City to go on and compete at the district competition in McPherson.

During the district competition McLinden, Carroll and Slater placed third, with Palic placing fourth, which earned them the chance to compete at the state competition in Topeka March 27-28.

At the state meet McLinden went 0-2 in the 9 & 10-year-old 150-pound class, Palic went 1-2 in the 110-pound class.

Brody went 1-2 in the 13-14 year-old 135-pound class while Slater went 3-3 in the 205-pound class, earning sixth place in the state.

Their coaches were Chuck McLinden, Cotton Jeffrey and Mark Johnson.
