Lovelady and Smith win alternate-play tourney

Joe Lovelady and Tyler Smith were the top medalist team at the 27 Hole Alternate Play Golf Tournament played June 5 on the Hills­boro Municipal Golf Course.

Lovelady and Smith shot a 99 for 27 holes to lead all teams. The team of Anthony Thiessen and Phil Thiessen came in second with a 99.

Following are the top three finishers in each flight.

• Championship flight: Joe Lovelady and Tyler Smith 99, Anthony Thiessen and Phil Thiessen 99, Jerry Hess and Bryan Hess 101.

• First flight: Pete Richert and Daniel Moss 105, Doug Dick and Devin Dick 106, Nathan Shelton and Richard Shelton 108

• Second flight: Harold Schultz and Brice Foth 114, Russ Hake and Kevin Burkholder 114, Rob Craft and Lonnie Hamm 115.
