Locals enjoy memorial softball tournament in Marion.

The tournament is held in honor of Darla Gore to raise scholarships for Marion students.

Caleb Williams, Cheyenne Jeffrey and Corey Seacat, all members of Lucy’s Sons of Pitches, sit in the dugout for a few minutes in between innings. Jeffrey said, “I didn’t personally know Darla, but I enjoy playing in tournaments that have a reason behind them. I enjoy being a part of something that means so much to those who knew Darla.”

Sequoia Cleeton swings her bat in the game against another local team while Colton Jeffrey warms up and watches.
