The Kansas Elite Fast Pitch softball team placed third at the ASA B 16U State Tournament in Salina June 26-28. Local players include Shelby Percell and Alex Cain from Marion and Sammy Koons and Stephanie Sanders from Hillsboro. The team is coached by Rod Koons, Stacey Sanders, Russ Cain, Brent Iverson and Doug Hatfield. The team will travel to Wichita to play in the ASA B Nationals beginning July 29.
