HRC sponsors volleyball camp

The Hillsboro Recreation Commission will be sponsoring an instructional youth volleyball camp for USD 410 third through sixth grade girls and boys this fall.

The camp will meet 4-5:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings from September 6-29 at the Hillsboro High School gymnasium.

The camp is not a league, but rather emphasizes learning the proper serving, setting, passing, and spiking skills. Games will not be played unless the instructors feel the players are ready. All participants will report at the same time but will be grouped accordingly by the instructors.

Clothing appropriate for physical activity is required, and enrollment will be limited to 40. The camp will be taught by Hillsboro Middle School coach Stephanie Sinclair, along with assistants and higher-level players. The cost is $20 including an official camp T-shirt. The deadline to enter is September 4.
