The Senior Babe Ruth teams from Hillsboro and Marion split a doubleheader Friday at Memorial Field in Hillsboro.
Hillsboro won the opener, 6-3, behind the pitching of Lucas Sinclair, while Marion came back to take the nightcap, 15-4, in five innings.
In the opener, David Dick led Hillsboro at the plate with three hits in three at-bats with three runs scored. Connor Farnham added two hits to Hillsboro?s six-hit attack.
Taylor Heidebrecht led Marion with three hits in four at-bats with two runs scored. Grif Case and Bret Voth each added two hits.
In Game 2, Heidebrecht took the mound for Marion and limited Hillsboro to five hits for the victory.
Leading 7-4 through three innings, Marion exploded for eight runs in the fourth to secure the win. Ethan Hett, Caleb Williams and Jacob Baldwin each had two hits for Marion.
