Golf tourney raises funds for Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Big-BrotherGolf.jpg The ninth annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Tournament on Saturday at the Marion Country Club raised $2,600 to help 180 children in the county, said Jackie Rice, executive director. The first-place three-man team was (left to right) Phillip Thiessen, Anthony Thiessen and Scott O?Hare. ?We had 18 teams (54 golfers) play in the tournament,? she said. ?Dona?tions and funding opportunities are down this year due to the economy, and anyone who would like to give money or learn more about how to become a Big Brother or Big Sister may call me at 620-382-3800.?
