Pictured from left are Sutton Redger, who placed fifth with a 3-2 record in the 8 & Under, 95 pounds division; Camden Padgett, who placed second at 10 & Under, 85 pounds with a 4-1 record; Connor Padgett, who placed second at 10 & Under, 100 pounds with a 3-1 record; Raymond Johnson, who went 0-2 at 14 & Under, 115 pounds; and Cyle Gautschi, who went 1-2 in the High School, 220-pound division. ?We are very proud of the efforts of our wrestlers,? said Scott O?Hare, HWC director. ?They competed admirably in Topeka. This is a top-notch, highly competitive tournament. There is no breakdown by classification based on school enrollment or community size throughout the entire state qualifying series. Those that qualify for this tournament are competing against the best in the state in their age division and weight class regardless of where they are from. It is most definitely an action-packed two days of competition taking place on 14 mats.? This was the first trip to Topeka for Redger and the third consecutive appearance for the Padgett brothers, who have both placed among the top six on each occasion.
