Eagle girls second at state powerlifting

Nineteen athletes represented Canton-Galva at the Kansas Eight-Man Football Association State Powerlifting Meet in Claflin Saturday.

In order to participate, schools must play eight-man football. Lifters were divided by weight class, with the top six earning medals in each lift, as well as the top three overall.

The girls finished second at the meet, becoming the first Canton-Galva team to place at a state powerlifting meet.
