CGHS softball set for more success

The Canton-Galva High School softball team will look to continue its success in 2010.

Coach Barry Fritz returns with a career record of 261-111. Last season ended with a 19-4 record and a loss in the Class 2A-1A regional finals to Sacred Heart, which finished fourth at the state tournament.

Canton-Galva will be led by pitcher Ally Bressie and seniors Kris Larson, Taryn Nelson and Kali Testor.

The Eagles are scheduled to play 10 doubleheaders during the regular season.

They will start Friday at Ell-Saline.

Canton-Galva?s first home games will be April 6 against Bennigton.

All doubleheaders are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
