Canton-Galva?The Eagles started their season with wins over Centre and Inman at the Inman Triangular Aug. 30.
CGHS defeated Centre 25-16, 25-15, then knocked of the home team 25-19, 25-20.
?We came out with great energy and enthusiasm to start the season,? said coach Jake Sims. ?First match with Centre was close early, but we pulled away late in both sets.
?Second match with Inman was a great contest. We were able to use several good serving streaks to hold and even extend the lead at times.?
The Eagles were scheduled to play a triangular Tuesday at Goessel, then will compete Saturday in the Centre Invitational.
Centre?The Cougars went winless at the Inman Triangular Aug. 30, losing to Canton-Galva 16-25, 15-25, then dropping a match with the home team, 12-25, 20-25.
