Centre?The Cougars (3-4, 10-9) claimed a narrow victory at home Friday over non-league opponent Chase County, 39-34. Allison Shields led the Cougars in scoring with 18 points.

The Cougars fell, 47-26, Thursday to league leader Little River (8-0, 18-1) in a make-up game.

Cacey Simons and Shields tied as the Cougars? leading scorers with 6 points.

The Cougars were not scheduled to play, Feb. 15, but fell to Elyria (3-4, 7-11) Feb. 14 in a make-up game, 44-41. Shields led Centre with 13 points.

The Cougars will begin sub-state tournament play Feb. 28.

Canton-Galva?The Eagles (1-6, 4-13) lost a close decision to Goessel (2-5, 6-13) Friday, 27-25. Kimmy Voth and Mackenzie Farnham led the Eagles in scoring with five points each.

The Eagles were scheduled to play non-league opponent Mound?ridge in a make-up game last Thursday, but that score was not available.

League opponent Remington (7-1, 16-2) handed the Eagles a 52-27 defeat Feb. 15 on the road.

The Eagles are scheduled to play at Little River (8-0, 18-1) on Tuesday, Feb. 22, to finish their regular-season play.

Goessel?The Bluebirds (2-5, 6-13) beat non-league opponent Canton-Galva (1-6, 4-13) on the road Friday, 27-25. Jennifer Van Horn led Goessel with 11 points.

Non-league opponent Argonia crushed the Bluebirds, 93-31, on the road Feb. 15.

The Bluebirds are scheduled to play at home versus Heart of America league leader Berean (8-1, 16-2) on Tuesday before beginning sub-state play March 3-5.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors (0-7, 1-17) lost to non-league opponent Moundridge (6-1, 13-4) on the road Friday, 46-13.

The Warriors lost to league-leader Little River (8-0, 18-1) at home, Feb. 15, 45-8.

The Warriors are scheduled to play their last regular-season game against league opponent Hope (6-3, 10-7) at home Tuesday.

They will begin sub-state play Feb. 28.
