Canton-Galva?The Eagles? dropped two road doubleheaders this past week, bringing their season record to 0-10.
The Eagles were swept April 19 by Little River, 10-0 and 9-6. Little River senior Skylar Hill tossed a no-hitter in Game 1, striking out 10.
In Game 2, Bryan Little hit three singles and a double to lead CGHS. Kolby Moddelmog and Taylor Myers both had a pair of singles.
Thursday, Hillsboro swept Canton-Galva, 10-0 and 6-4.
Taylor Myers paced the Eagles with a double and two runs in Game 2. He also recorded 10 strikeouts, while surrending just one earned run.
?We knew going into the game that Hillsboro out-manned us from a depth and talent standpoint,? coach Mike Brouillette said. ?The middle of their lineup poses a solid offensive attack that I knew would challenge us.
?Our goal was to be competitive and minimize our defensive errors and strikeout total and we did that in Game 2.?
Canton-Galva was scheduled to host Sedgwick April 26 and then play at Moundridge Friday.
