Levi Allen, a sixth-grader at Hillsboro Middle High School, wears the medal he received for placing fifth among age 12 runners in the 3-kilometer Yes Athletics National Cross Country Meet race Nov. 18 at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio. Levi ran in a field of 282 11- and 12-year-old boys, placing seventh overall in 11 minutes, 11.83 seconds. Levi is a member of the Brocaw Blazers team, which won the title for his age group with a score of 18 points; the second-place team tallied 97 points. Levi’s parents are Brian and Carol Allen, Hillsboro.
