Air-rifle class offered for youth

Girls and boys ages 8 to 18 are invited to participate in the youth shooting sports air rifle program June 3-24.

The program is designed to help youth develop life skills, learn firearm safety and proper shooting techniques.

Wayne Weber will teach the course. He is a certified 4-H and National Rifle Association air-rifle instructor.

Youth are asked to bring a mat, blanket or sleeping bag to lie on while shooting. Class materials such as air rifles, pellets, safety glasses, ear protection and targets will be provided.

Adults are encouraged to attend with their youth. The registration fee is $10.
