Two Bluejays highlight the 2014 KCAC preseason women?s basketball team selected by conference coaches.
Senior Tonisha Dean was a unanimous selection. The 5-foot, 11-inch senior guard was a second-team All-KCAC pick a year ago. She tallied 401 points (12.53 per game), placing her second in team scoring. She grabbed 156 rebounds (4.88 per game), to rank second on the team. Dean had 15 blocks last year.
Sophomore Tena Loewen was also named to the preseason team. The 5-11 guard made KCAC honorable mention last season. She scored 177 points (7.38 per game) and had 153 rebounds (6.38 per game), placing her third on the team in rebounding.
Last season, Tabor won the KCAC tournament with an 85-51 victory over top-seeded Southwestern, then narrowly lost to Northwestern, 63-62, in the opening round of the NAIA national tournament. Tabor finished the season with a 21-11 overall record.
